Menopause Retreat
21st (11am) -22nd September (3pm)
Staverton Hall B&B NN11 6JD

We are delighted to be offering this wonderful experience to any woman who might be struggling with the transition into menopause. This weekend will offer you the chance to learn more about why you're experiencing these symptoms and ways to manage them from a holistic and natural perspective.

Not only will you have the chance to connect to other women experiencing the same issues and have an opportunity to feel heard, you will be immersed amongst a range of wonderful activities which will enhance not only your physical health, but your overall wellbeing.

Facilitated by Shona , a specialised Menopause Reflexologist and Victoria, a nurse and holistic practitioner with a wealth of knowledge and expertise, we encourage you to use this weekend to kick start your transition into a new phase of life.

This weekend focuses on the 'five pillars' of a healthy menopause: Nutrition, Movement, Relaxation, Sleep and Finding your purpose. Each activity has been purposefully and carefully chosen to fit into these categories.

what to expect...

You will be warmly greeted on arrival at the wonderful Staverton Hall B&B, with pastries, tea and coffee. The day will start with some circle time to get to know one another and discuss the layout of the weekend and what to expect. You will then have an informative Q&A session with a nutritionist, who will discuss the importance of nutrition throughout the menopause and how diet plays a crucial role in combatting many symptoms. After a healthy and nutritious lunch, we will then guide you on a glorious mindful walk amongst the beautiful grounds of Staverton Hall. You will also have some free time to read, journal, relax and even indulge in a 20 minute reiki or reflexology treatment. In the evening, we will then walk to the local pub 'The Countryman' for a two course meal, before returning back for a glorious sound bath with JoJo Sounds before bed.

In the morning, after a wholesome breakfast and some 'you' time, the lovely Lizzie Edwards will lead an outdoor (weather dependent) yoga session and will discuss the benefits of yoga during the menopause. Followed by a dance workshop by Laura Anderson Dance, which will encourage you to push yourself outside of your comfort zone, express yourself freely and tap into your creative and expressive nature. The day will be finished off with a meditative circle and some reflection time before departing.

Throughout the weekend you will also have access to an outdoor heated swimming pool, various nature walks and journaling opportunities.
